Night Court Quilt

Image
Scrolling through Instagram is a great way to find new inspirations for quilting. I have found lots of new to me designers, quilt patterns and skills over the years. However, the day I saw Cotton and Joy's   Night Court  pattern based on the fantasy series by Sara J. Maas, I knew I had found the perfect quilt for one of my teacher besties. The 5th grade teacher. next door to me LOVES Sara J. Maas books, specifically A Court of Rose and Thorn  series. I knew this wall hanging was going to be the perfect 25th Birthday gift. Needless to say, she loved it!

Infinite Hearts Quilt

First, I cannot believe it has 2 1/2 years since I posted on my blog! Life got busy with work, family and working on my Teaching National Boards. Now that I am achieved my Teaching National Boards, I am back to quilting!  This year, 2025, my goal is to use the fabric I already have to make all my quilts. My 18 year old son helped me organized my fabric over Christmas break and I have at least 9 full quilt projects ready to go without much thought! Those projects are good in theory, but a few weeks ago I really wanted a Valentine's quilt to decorate my living room. So, I dove into my closet and found a jelly roll, background and backing. Here are the results: I used the Infinite Hearts pattern from Quilty Love and a Jelly Roll from Hoffman Fabrics called Bali Pop. The background is a cream from the Moda Grunge line that I used a few years ago to finish my sons quilt. My quilter did an amazing job with the hearts.

Stella by Stripology Quilt

In April, my husband and son spent the day driving me around North Idaho and North Eastern Washington visiting quilt shops for the Eastern Washington Quilt Shop Hop. At the quilt store/pharmacy in Chewlah, Washington, Akers United Drugs, we found the best outdoor flannel. I ended up buying 4 different fabrics unsure what I was going to create but knew we could use some quilts outside for around the camp fire. When I was looking through my Stripology Mixology Book  and found the Stella pattern to be perfect for this fabric.

Rocky Coast Quilt

My son has been bugging me to make a quilt for his bed. He has a mountain mural on one wall so I wanted something to match that. The Rocky Coast Quilt from Toad & Sew   was the perfect quilt for his room. I used fabric from the Moda Grunge line and the Wilmington Essentials Dry Brush line. They were the perfect combination of lines to create this fabulous quilt.

Garden Tags Sympathy Cards

The June Stamp of the Month, Garden Tags , is one of my favorite stamp sets. Using some older Mix and Match paper and a variety of alcohol markers, I created these two sympathy cards. The sunflower stamp was my favorite and I cannot wait to make some other cards using these stamps this week once school is out for the year!

Botanical Oasis Desert Star Quilt

I recently finished quilt #5 for the year for a dear friend's birthday. It took me over a year to find the perfect fabric for her. She loves pinks and greens so this fabric from Wilmington prints was perfect for the Desert Star quilt pattern. As soon as school ends this week, I will begin quilt #6!

Sympathy Cards

Unfortunately I had to make 2 Sympathy cards this weekend. The Garden Tag Stamp of the Month stamps were perfect for these cards. I used the Blue Skies  paper pack and my alcohol markers to create the Thinking of You card. The other card is made using retired Seasonal Mix-In paper.  The Garden Tag stamp set is only $5 the month of June with any $50 purchase.   https://stephaniefeist.closetomyheart.com/
